Abdoulaye Niang, Ph.D.

Abdoulaye Niang is a co-founder and primary financial backer of Tambaroua Business Farming. Abdoulaye leads on Thought Leadership and is the author of two books on African Wealth Creation and Retention in which he defines a new model for co-entrepreneurship. Prior to retiring, Abdoulaye served for more than 30 years in various roles with the United Nations Food Security Division for Africa including serving as Director of the West African and Central African Sub-regional Offices. Abdoulaye has a Doctorate in Agriculture Economics from Purdue University.

Mohamed Ali Niang

Mohamed Ali Niang is a co-founder and CEO of Malô. Mohamed has a deep understanding of the full value chain for rice processing and fortification. In addition he has several years of finance and accounting experience with small businesses. Mohamed is the recipient of prestigious awards and fellowships in social entrepreneurship and was recently voted to Forbes Top 30 under 30. Mohamed is an Echoing Green, INK, and Unreasonable Fellow. Mohamed has a BA in Entrepreneurship and International Business Economics from Temple University.

Salif Romano Niang

Salif Romano Niang put his PhD studies at Purdue University on hold to launch Malô, a Malian social enterprise with the mission of combatting farmer poverty and chronic malnutrition in Mali. A key component of Malô’s model is to build modern; efficient processing and fortification facilities that transform rice grown by smallholder farmers into high quality rice fortified with essential vitamins and minerals. Salif believes strongly in the power of entrepreneurship and technology to solve development challenges and his other entrepreneurial endeavors include Tambaroua Business Farming, a solar-powered, precision farm in Mali and was the Teaching Fellow for the Singularity University team project that led to the launch of Matternet Inc., a Silicon Valley startup developing drone technology that enhances last-mile distribution in the developing world. Salif is the recipient of fellowships from the Aspen Institute, Echoing Green, and Singularity University, and in his spare time continues to work on his dissertation focused on how demography and large youth cohorts in particular influence national power, conflict risk, governance, and economic development. He is an Italian-born citizen of Mali but grew up primarily in Ethiopia.

Mohamed Abdoulaye Niang

Mohamed Abdoulaye Niang is a co-founder and Operations Manager for Tambaroua Business Farming. He leads a staff of 10+ employees and is responsible for the day-to-day management of the farm. Mohamed is also responsible for leading field execution for our consulting services arm. Mohamed has a BTS Analyse et Conduite des Systemes D'Exploitation from an intensive vegetable, fruit, and dairy training program from Rennes, France.

 

 

Moufid Radji

Moufid has been an investor and valued advisor of Tambaroua since 2014. Moufid has several years of experience in trading technology at institutions such as Bank of America Merrill Lynch and Goldman Sachs; he is also involved in several youth empowerment initiatives. Moufid has valuable business experience in West Africa and provides constructive input to the TBF leadership team. Moufid holds a Masters in Electrical Engineering and a graduate degree in Treasury and Finance.

Mamadou N Niang

Mamadou is a co-founder and board member of Tambaroua Business Farming. Mr. Niang is an accomplished management professional with over 10 years of experience in the healthcare and medical technologies field. Mamadou served in leadership roles in engineering, service operations, and supply chain management functions at General Electric Healthcare Systems. He is currently a Manager at GE Ultrasound Probe leading a team of advanced manufacturing engineers generating $35MM in annual revenue. Mamadou holds a MS in Computer Technology with a focus on Information Systems from Purdue University (USA).
